Artist-Educator Julie Brewer was born and raised in rural Western Ohio. After leaving home for almost a decade to pursue her education, AmeriCorps service work, and early teaching career, she and her husband (together with their cat and chickens) now reside outside of Greenville, Ohio where she teaches middle school art at Greenville City Schools. The conflicts she expresses in her work arise from her own attempts to reconcile differences within herself, her community, and our world.
